How to get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition for FREE! (Mojang News post)

This seems like an attempt to preemptively post. There's no redeem button on the Mojang account pages as of right now. I'm guessing it will be available by the time of release.

Edit The redeem button is now available for me and a lot of other people! You can check it out! http://i.imgur.com/9j8pupC.png

How unfortunate for their support department.

I'm able to redeem the button on Microsoft's account and billing page, but it says there is an error. Is there Minecraft server list for redemption?

Windows 10 will be available "today"or "tomorrow" depending on where you live. I would imagine that the button will be accessible at 12:01 on Wednesday morning Sweden time.

You also won't see a redeem button. Can't wait for tomorrow!

For those who need Windows 10:

Manual installation is now available.

Direct Links

32bit exe

64bit exe

If you have an addon which forces https, open it in this case, because the link is only http.

Instructions:

Download the application.

Run it and follow the steps. It will format your USB drive or disk, allowing you to install.

Start the installer from the drive where you first installed it.

It will install automatically and then activate.

You can also save an ISO for later use, but make an in-place update first to ensure that your key is activated.

I have installed the beta and it is confirmed working and free.

I just got it. Minecraft server list to see how efficient the game is. My computer's fans don’t bother to start and the CPU is nearly idle all the time.

Are there differences in the gameplay?

Yes, it will run excellent on mobile devices so you can expect it to perform equally excellent on PC.

It was delivered just now. Singleplayer LOL 22% CPU and 200mb #NEXTGEN There's a little mouse delay, but it otherwise looks great. Really wish we could edit a few more settings like AA and Mip-Mapping. Textures become mushy over time and the water glare may be a bit strange. In other words I'm very happy with the port team.

there is a noticeable mouse delay when looking around, but the rest of the site is great.

I noticed the same, mouse acceleration seems to be odd as well.

It's a sloppy port at the time. It runs on C++, so it runs very smooth. It requires some work to make it compatible with the PC gamers. It currently seems like a mobile game.

Forgive me if this seems like a dumb question, but what do you know about it? Did some people have Windows 10 earlier?
