Markus Persson, the Swedish game developer who developed Minecraft has not shied away from his love of Lego. It seems that the admiration is mutual.

David Gram, Lego's Marketing Director, said last year that "Minecraft was a digital Lego." It's a great idea but we wish we had invented it.

Mr. Goldberg believes that Mr Persson also who is also known as Notch, will be "flattered" by the game.

"Lego was his favorite toy as a child , and was the main motivation behind Minecraft and Minecraft, so it's nice to see things coming full circle," he said.

"I don't think that there will be any animosity. In general, game developers are happy when someone copies an existing title.

Lego is marketed at children but also for an adult-only group of enthusiasts.

Minecraft which was acquired by Microsoft last year It has also managed to appeal to both children and adults.

Mr Goldberg stated that "the players for Minecraft has proven to be quite large, so I'm sure there will be space for both games."
