One of the most entertaining films of all-time, Man With a Van is a hilarious sequel to the financially disastrous Argyll and Costello Christmas classic, It's a Wonderful Life. The same clueless American innocence that characterized the previous movie, Russell Brand plays the self-described Van Man, a man who travels back to present-day New York City, where he falls in love with a young woman who works in a theater. But instead of saving her, he chooses to leave her to help him save his struggling company... But are they able to save their marriage, and if they do, will Van Man destroy his family and even his own livelihood?

If you think of Michael Caine, you probably imagine Caine in some of the iconic sequences from A Few Good Men, in which he is the role of a criminal who is about to be executed by authorities. In Man With a Van, though, Caine plays Robert "Bob" Wurzelbacher, an honest former truck driver who knows what it's like handling people's possessions as well as the Van Man himself. The film's story progresses and we get to know more about the eccentric man, who has quite a good time doing so. He also gets out with his cousin, after being told that the authorities want to inspect his trucks. But when two moving trucks who are from the other side of the country decide to stop at his home, the situation go from bad to worse.

Brand is the man who's not afraid of getting his hands dirty literally. After letting amanwithavanlondon.co.uk moving movers make a quick escape from his home Brand is given his own truck to do the rest of the work. The two movers are awed by his ability to finish the job quickly and easily, even getting the two trucks that he uses for the move to break some of the laws (one of them relating to the dimensions of the fronts of his vehicles). When they agree to help him out, Bob realizes that he has more going on throughout his day than he believed. Yet, despite that, he's still dedicated to helping others and improving the lives of other people.

Meanwhile, a disturbed little girl called Beth has a hard adjustment to her new surroundings. Beth is constantly being criticized however, she's confused about her past life and the person she's expected to be in the new city. She shares with her family the story of moving to Man With a Van, however, they aren't convinced by her claims and she quickly begins to feel a fearful of the new town. Two movers from earlier help her out of a tight spot when they discover Bob's involvement in the moving. They save Beth and make Beth feel secure in her new city.

Over time, Bob develops feelings for the local girl. Beth begins working with him, and they eventually fall in love. Then the unthinkable happens, which puts their love on the back burner after Bob is fired from his position at news corporation.

I would definitely recommend this book if you are someone who's had a similar experience to Bob. It's an excellent read due to the fact that it's so real and convincing. It's not an uplifting story like most books, but it's filled with excitement and valuable lessons. This isn't your run-of-the-mill emotional read, neither. There aren't any cute sidekicks, and too many twists.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys funny situations and who likes an exciting plot. If this sounds like the case, then this is certainly worth going through. My favorite part was in the moment that Bob and Beth decided to relocate into a van that belonged to one of their mutual friends. The whole experience made me laugh out loud several times. I'd also like to say that the plot was engaging. I had no issues with the plot or the characters and it kept me interested from beginning to end.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. It's a realistic read and I think people would highly recommend it. People who love to travel, like adventure, and simply want to see how other people deal with life in a humorous kind of way should absolutely go through Man With a Van by Paul Therien. It's a quick enjoyable read that has a great storyline.
