How Many Villager Jobs are There in Minecraft?

There are currently 15 villager positions available in Minecraft. This is a list listing the various jobs a villager could take. If you're interested in a particular job, you'll need to place the job block that corresponds to the desired job next to the Unemployed Villager. The job that is assigned to the villager will decide the kind of trades they can offer. If you don't have an unemployed Villager, you may destroy the job block a villager is using. If you're unable to obtain the desired trades from a villager you can remove the job block and then put it back in place to load their trades.

Villager Appearance:

Villagers' roles will change depending on their occupation, but the appearance of villager's attire will differ in each biome. They will keep the specific characteristics to their work to make each job distinct. All Farmers wear straw hats and all Librarians will have glasses.

Trading Stock:

Mojang introduced the fantastic concept of 'Supply and demand in Mojang 1.14. This means that if a trade is carried out too frequently, not only will the villager run short of inventory, but prices (the quantity of the items or gemstones you must give) will increase. Trades can be made up to 4 times before stock runs out. minecraft crafting Villagers will restock once a day. The cost of an item will drop if it isn't traded.

Unlocking Trades:

When a trade is made between a villager and the player, both of them gain experience. When villagers level up, the next tier of trades are unlocked. There are five levels of trades available to each villager to unlock better quality items. A villager's level is represented by the color of their badge on their clothing. It is a range of Novice(Stone), Apprentice(Iron), Journeyman(Gold), Expert(Emerald) all the way to Master(Diamond).

Wandering Trader

This is somewhat unusual, but there is one villager who is completely different from the other villager. The Wandering Trader is a passive mob, just like the Villagers in general, but it appears randomly throughout the world with no pattern whatsoever. It is equipped with two trading llamas which are similar to normal llamas but with a slight cosmetic modification. Another unique feature of this Villager is its lack of trading levels. This means that the trades you've taken with him will remain yours for the duration of time. But don't fret, as his trades will be reset when he appears again.

The trades of the Wandering Trader are often obscure and difficult to locate. While not very powerful or impressive but they are still worth a look. The Wandering Trader will vanish after 40-60 minutes.

Popularity:

You have a certain amount of popularity as an player. Negative actions such as attacking villages can reduce your popularity, whereas trading frequently or curing zombie villagers are effective ways to increase the amount of popularity. Negative actions can increase prices while positive ones can decrease them.

Let's suppose that your village is spontaneously attacked by Illagers, while you coincidentally happen to be in the area and you successfully ward off the attack. You will be rewarded with the 'Hero of The Village" status effect, which will further reduce the cost of trade (except for trades that cost 1 Emerald).

These are the fundamentals of Villager jobs and the trading of villages. You should now be able to manage your villager farm like a pro! Mojang tends to rip the rug from under our feet quite often. Trading can be a little more complicated due to Supply & Demand mechanics and popularity functions. You can make use of these features to aid you, or completely cause havoc to the trading economy on your Minecraft server. I hope you find this guide useful. I wish you all the best and success!
