The Survival Game Vintage Story Receives an Official Mod Database And Improved Wayland Support

Out for your next survival game that isn't Valheim? Give Vintage Story a go, which , on the surface, looks like Minecraft but is so much more interesting and far deeper mechanically.



While this is mostly a stability update for the previous release, which was massive, some fun things have been put in. A Mod Database is one of the most significant additions. The database allows players to upload and download mods. Then, according to the developers that it will be integrated with the game client to "blur the line between what is considered to be vanilla content and what is modified content" (if you choose to use it, that is).



While the rest of this update is a few minor adjustments and fixes the game's support for Linux continues to shine. Linux gamers should notice an improvement in Wayland support. The next major update to 1.15 sounds intriguing. It features "excellent work to improve performance across a variety of important areas of gaming" and new music.
