The way you describe on how to install Java mods is incorrect. The reason is that if you place the Java file in the mod folder, it will function in a basic mode until another mod is installed in another section of the ".minecraft." folder. This is what I mean:

1. Cut or copy the jar file, but don't yet paste it. 2. Open the folder for versions, and create an entirely new folder. When Mundo Is Blogging Paste the jar file in the folder you just created. Paste the jar file into the folder once more and this time with a new name. Open the jar file with notepad, copy the entire text and close the file. The copied file should be deleted 7. Create another file (mostly the type text file) and name it exactly the same as the jar file 8. When it is created exactly as the Jar file, save the file with the name as a .json file 9. Open the json file using notpad and copy the next copy you copied 10. Launch the launcher and select the mod you would like to "made."

10,5. If this does not work, follow these steps: Open the version folder. Select the folder that you don't need. Memes Rain If the mod runs 1.7.10 you'll need to locate a folder that runs 1.7.10 Minecraft version 12. Paste the jar file into the folde you selected and rename it exactly as the json file is named 13. Launch the launcher and select the version you want to use.

If you're unable to locate the folder, you can go back to the folder for versions and search for the folder you last edited. You can then change the name of it according to your preference. I suggest renaming the files in that folder exactly as the folder is called.
