We are aware that Minecraft version 1.8 (also called the "Adventure Update") is accessible via semi-official channels since the end of last week after a Mojang developer released the update with the permission of the studio. If you're not feeling like searching for the file,, you can now grab the patch through the Minecraft launcher, and it recently went live for all users.

We are aware that this won't have any impact on our more tech-savvy, file-hunting readers, but if you share our worry about downloading a game update that is actually a illegal bestiality porno virus, you can download the update free of that particular worry.

[Thanks, Richard.]
